Simple Joys of the Cosy Season - Slow Living in Autumn

Embracing Autumn's Simple Joys
The end of October means we're halfway through the "BER" months, often referred to as the cosiest months of the year. From the warm, Autumnal vibes of early September to the Wintry glow of December, illuminated by Christmas tree lights, there is a pure magic in the air during this time.
With only days left of October, my thoughts naturally wander ahead. First frosts are usually expected in the UK within the first 10 days of November, and as the month progresses, streets and shops will begin their festive makeovers.
I'm not quite ready to switch completely to a festive mood - I’ve been thoroughly enjoying this Autumn and plan to linger in this vibe a bit longer. We’re having a beautiful Autumn this year, with quite a few sunny days. The peak of colours in Somerset and the Cotswolds usually lasts until mid or even late November, so there are still a few weeks left to enjoy the beauty of the season before the nature quiet down and our homes are illuminated by Christmas lights (and YR Studio festive candles :)
Autumn is a wonderful time to practice slow living and find joy in simple pleasures. If you watched my recent YouTube vlog, you know we really did good in the shop this October. We seem to have figured out the most efficient way to fulfil orders and manage deliveries, making this October - though busy - feel more cheerful and relaxed. We even found time for forest walks, coffee dates, and baking—some of my favourite simple joys.
Below, I’m sharing an extended video of these little Autumnal joys from my Instagram reels, but much slower-paced, as I know many of you find reels too fast!
