Crisp Autumn Evenings in the Cottage: Home Decor Inspiration
Nearly the middle of October, I'm writing this post cocooned in a blanket, as the temperature outside has dropped to only 9 degrees Celsius. The warm, "Gilmore Girls" kind of Autumn days are now gone as we're moving towards November, with the first frosts and the first bare trees.
It's time to layer up, especially if we leave the house early in the morning, as the air is quite nippy these days. The evenings are drawing in, and nightfall comes so much earlier now, encouraging us to cosy up in our homes.
I love how these colder and darker months remind us of the importance of a safe and warm home and make us appreciate our own space a little bit more. I always get a wave of inspiration when the weather turns cold to decorate my home for the season and make it as cosy and warm as possible for my family and myself. We've added new items to our home decor collection, and I'm literally obsessed with the cute little cottage houses and the Christmas decor. If you enjoy rustic, country home decor, then take a look here!
Below, I'm sharing some cosy, Cotswolds cottage-inspired images. Although I might not live in one of those (not yet ;)), I can still get inspired and style my tiny, modern house to evoke the same feelings of cosiness and peace. I truly believe that the warmth and cosiness of home are not connected to the place but rather to feelings: the people that live inside, the care we put into our living spaces, and the comfort and safety it gives us.
