Starting a neutral capsule wardrobe from (almost) zero.

If you've been around for a while, you probably already know that last Summer, I embarked on a weight loss journey. It has now been over a year-long adventure of mindful eating and being in a calorie deficit for a total of 10 months. My body has changed considerably, and this Autumn, I stood in front of my wardrobe in disbelief because, for the first time in my life, I ACTUALLY don't have anything to wear.
I'm not gonna lie - I was a little sad to realise that many of my favourite sweaters that have been with me for years are now way too big (shhhh, I'm keeping some of them for sentimental reasons), but at the same time, it gives me an opportunity to start anew. Build my wardrobe from the basics, exactly as I've always dreamed of!
I want to take time collecting clothes that will stand the test of time, not following trends blindly. The neutral theme came naturally - this is how I've always been, choosing calming, earthy tones for both my clothes and my home. Different colors come and go out of fashion. Currently, everyone is loving pink thanks to the Barbie movie; next season, it might be purple or green. Big brands release thousands of styles of clothes every year (if not every month), and we'll never be able to keep up - in fact, we're not meant to. The fashion industry is worth more than 1.5 trillion(!) dollars, and it's because brands are good at convincing us how much we need new clothes every season.
Don't get me wrong - there's absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying fashion, but like with everything in life, it's all about being mindful and balanced. I hope that by creating a neutral capsule wardrobe, I will collect a set of clothes that can be easily mixed and matched, creating cozy, comfortable sets that make me feel good and won't go out of fashion.
I often get asked where my clothes are from, so I started my LTK page. I was accepted all the way back in March, but life got in the way, and it took me until September to actually set up the page and start adding photos, videos, and links there. To see my page, you don't need to have an app or even an account; simply click the link and then find the outfit that interests you in my gallery.
Thank you for reading. Take care,
